
Siam City Bank, PCL (SCIB) was established in
1941 by government officials and members of royal
family with initial registered capital of Baht
1 million. In August 1994, SCIB was listed in
the Stock Exchange of Thailand and its shares
were traded for the first time. In April 2002,
SCIB became the 5th largest Bank (asset size)
in the nation after the merger with Bangkok Metropolitan

services. As of 3Q05, we have a registered capital
of Baht 21,128 million, Baht 463,105 million in

. SCIB common stock was re-traded on the Stock
Exchange of Thailand under the symbol "SCIB"
on December 1, 2003, with free float of 17.5%
and increased to 52.5% after holders of SCIB-C1
warrants were fully converted into common shares.
The Bank then changed its status from a state
enterprise to a private commercial bank on 25
November 2004. As of the end of September 2005,
the Bank had a market capitalization of Baht 54,933
million (ranking 5th in the Thai banking sector).
